Animation / CGI Specialist
Stephen grew up as a 90’s kid watching old movie heroes like Schwarzenegger, Cruz, and Reeves. He was lucky enough to be born at the beginning of an age where the computer became a main support of the movie and TV industry.
During his high school years, Stephen was fortunate enough to have a licence to 3DS Max. His inspiration and passion to learn more about 3D was fueled by movies like The Matrix, Toy Story, and Lord of the Ring, just to name a few.
Stephen studied the art of Animation, at Durham College, in Oshawa, Ontario. Here, he primarily used Autodesk Maya to Animate, as well as software used in the production pipeline, including VXf. Stephen chose this particular school due to its high regard in the industry. He was awarded a Diploma for completing a two year term in Digital Animation as well as a certificate for completing a one year term, in The Foundations of Art and Design program.
Wanting to specialize in a field that he enjoyed working in, Stephen chose to attend Seneca College, Toronto, Ontario. Enrolled in the Visual Effects Post graduate program, his one year term program, tailored his skillset in today’s industry leading software, to create believable effects for film and TV. Software that was taught includes Maya, Houdini, PFTrack, Nuke, Photoshop, and After Effects. Stephen also continues to learn other software packages such as RealFlow, 3DsMax, Vray, etc. A post graduate Certificate was awarded for successfully completing the course.
Stephen’s knowledge of the overall stages of production, as well as his foundation in art and design, provide a steady platform in which he can perform digital works of art from.
